Who we are

ERR-Clan is an evolving gaming community. We are made up of many nationalities that all enjoy playing video games online. Be part of our ever growing community and play on our gaming servers for FREE! Our membership regularly play together in some of the most popular games of today, including first person shoot ‘em ups : Battlefield 2, Call of Duty, Cross Fire and strategy games such as World in Conflict.

2 tier structure

We have recently been branching our beyond the regular gaming clan structure and have been building on the community idea. The ultimate goal is to have a robust and active video game community which regular users can come and go, enjoy the bits and pieces on the web site and use our servers.

Then there is the clan side, this is for the more dedicated user. We have a strong user base of around 40 or so members known as “Clan Members”, these members have exclusive access to areas on the web site and forum as well as being part of an elite team that on occasions, scrims as a team against other clans. To be part of the “Clan Membership” there is an application process as we are looking for those who have the time to dedicate part of their week to helping out with our services. If you feel you have what it takes to give that little bit more then we encourage you to apply to us today!

Voice communication

We have many nationalities that enjoy and contribute to our community, from all over Europe, the Americas and further afield. We like communication and Teamspeak is an integral part of our communication system, we encourage our users to take full advantage of our free to use server. Using Teamspeak not only allows people to communicate but it adds a whole new element to video gaming. All that you need to get started is a working microphone, download Teamspeak; which is free and submit your user details for us to setup your personalised account. We do require that you have signed up to the community forum first.

Our website

The community is very active on our web site; it supplies our users with entertainment beyond video gaming. The site is the bread and butter of the community, it’s a meeting point for all our new users, it includes a very active forum which covers all things gaming, PC hardware but there is also a light hearted General area where people like to post things non-game related. As stated, this is a community and we encourage everyone to contribute, whether it is a post on the forum or helping admin our server.

All of our services can be monitored via the website. You can view who is currently on Teamspeak and you can also get direct access to see who is currently gaming on our Battlefield 2 Server. New reviews and preview areas have been developed to give our community up to date news on the latest and greatest video games that are due for release or in the pipeline.

We need your help

With the launch of the new site we are looking for people that can write articles on video game related items such as new releases, preview current release, bring the community news of new hardware that is related to gaming (video cards, cpu, ram etc) and be able to do this in a decent and professional structure. Articles do not have to be 2,000 words; an acceptable amount would be around 400-600 words and some visual media to bring the article to life. Absolutely no prior experience or technical knowledge is required but articles must be unique and written in readable English.

We also need to keep the community running which does cost. We encourage but do not force or require our users to donate. Our gaming server and website do require monthly keep and without your help we cannot maintain these costs. Like any hobby there is a cost but unlike many expensive hobbies this will not leave a hole in your pocket. Even a small monthly donation of $5 is most appreciated and will all go towards the running costs as well as ensuring we can remain the best gaming community around.

Enthusiasts

Our gaming community is professionally run by enthusiasts who are also dedicated to making ERR-Clan the place to be. We are all about having fun and we maintain this philosophy by providing one of the world’s most popular Battlefield 2 gaming server. In the past we had many servers and we had tens of thousands of followers but we decided to scale things down to concentrate on providing a single and highly administrated server. This has paid off enormously as we have even more dedicated users and it’s earned itself a reputation as one of the best run servers around.

Gaming has become such a massive industry, people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities play video games. Seen by many as a revolution as so many have taken it up in recent years and it’s unlikely to take a back foot now with the technology that is ever evolving to make the experience more vivid and life-like.

The video gaming industry is plausibly the greatest and most lucrative of all the entertainment industries on the planet. However what is most extraordinary about video games is that it is not just phenomenon. Video games attract kids, young adults as well as middle age adults across all cultures and faiths. Video games are extremely popular in the UK, Europe, United States and Canada. Most industrialized and technological nations have a massive abundance of gamers, be part of revolution and enjoy it with a community of self minded gaming addicts.

The future

What is to come of ERR-Clan? Ultimately we want things to go from strength to strength and to do so we need our community to remain strong, contribute ideas and time. Also some of the most anticipated video game releases are upon us, this will open up a new era in the community and establish ERR-Clan in the gaming community annals of time.
